  19.      A Note from REXXCOM Systems

  21.  The game XLAGIT was written by Ut, 
  22.  a 16 year old self-taught program- 
  23.  mer who moved to the USA from Thai- 
  24.  land a few years ago.  Ut also     
  25.  wrote this help file, as well as   
  26.  the program you are using to read  
  27.  it.  Ut asked us to edit his help  
  28.  file and manual, since he does not  
  29.  think he does as well with the Eng-
  30.  lish language as he does with com- 
  31.  puter languages.  We do not agree. 
  32.  In fact we like Ut's grammar and
  33.  spelling as much as we admire his
  34.  fine talents as a programmer.  We
  35.  did not change one word!            
  36.                To Play              
  37.  
  38.  
  39.  It is quite easy to play XLAGIT.
  40.  Almost everything is done using
  41.  LEFT mouse button.  First, when you
  42.  start, XLAGIT will ask you to grab
  43.  you mouse and click, so it knows
  44.  that you are ready.
  45.  
  46.  Once the game start, you have to
  47.  hit EVERY IRAQI flag you see poping
  48.  out on the screen.  Position your
  49.  mouse cursor,  FACE  cursor, in
  50.  the flag then click the LEFT mouse
  51.  button.
  52.  
  53.  Randomly, SADDAM and other extra
  54.  points objects will appear on the
  55.  screen.  Hit it the same way you
  56.  hit the flag.
  57.  
  58.  The flags will fall faster as the
  59.  TIME increase.  It might seem too
  60.  easy at first, but it will seem
  61.  impossible to hit anything as the
  62.  time go on.

  65.                OPTIONS

  67.  To select these options, move your
  68.  mouse cursor to the bottom of the
  69.  screen then click the options.  Or
  70.  you can just press the Function key
  71.  to select the options. For example
  72.  press F1 key will get you to this
  73.  help.

  77.    Click this option or press F1 to
  78.    get this help.

  80.   F2 EXIT

  82.    Select this option to Quit the
  83.    game when ever you like.  The box
  84.    with EXIT door will appear and
  85.    ask you if you really want to
  86.    EXIT.  Move your mouse to select
  87.    Yes or No, or use Left or Right
  88.    arrow key to select choice, then
  89.    Click Left Mouse button or hit
  90.    ENTER.

  92.   F3 HIDE BOSS

  94.    When an  IRAQI Spy  sneak up
  95.    behind you, select this option as
  96.    quickly as possible.  The screen
  97.    will change to a fake database
  98.    program.  When he is gone press
  99.     ESC  to return to normal game.
  100.    (and don't tell him who wrote
  101.    this game!...)

  103.   F4 RESTART 
  104.  
  105.    Select this option when you feel
  106.    like you not doing so well on
  107.    this game.  Every thing will
  108.    start over, and you get another
  109.    chance to hit IRAQI FLAGS.

  111.   F5 VIEW SCORE 
  112.  
  113.    To see the recorded top scorers'
  114.    name and his/her scores, select
  115.    this option.  You will be ask 
  116.    to enter your name after the 
  117.    game end and you have a real 
  118.    awesome score.  After entering
  119.    your name, you will be recorded
  120.    in the file name SCORE.DAT; which
  121.    will keep the scores of the top
  122.    10 people who score the most in
  123.    the XLAGIT.  To reset the scores
  124.    in the file, simply delete the 
  125.    SCORE.DAT file; using DOS DEL or
  126.    ERASE command.

  128.   F6 PAUSE GAME

  130.    When you got to go to the
  131.    bathroom or the game is too fast
  132.    for you or your dog is chewing up
  133.    your mouse cable or your computer
  134.    is on fire or you get hungry and
  135.    start eating keyboard for lunch
  136.    select this option to pause the
  137.    game.  DO NOT  use the  BREAK 
  138.    key on your key board.  This
  139.    consider a  CHEATING ; XLAGIT
  140.    will automatically set all your
  141.    points to 0 and the game will
  142.    end.

  144.   S key SOUND 
  145.  
  146.    While playing the game, you can
  147.    press the S key to turn off the
  148.    sound; pressing it again, will
  149.    turn it back on.

  152.                 MOUSE

  154.  First of all, make sure you mouse
  155.  is clean and ready to go.

  157.   LEFT  button

  159.  use this button to shot flags or
  160.  select the option on the bottom of
  161.  the screen.

  165.  click this button to pause the
  166.  game.  You can also select the GAME
  167.  PAUSE option.

  170.                  TIPS

  172.   * Try to hit the flags as soon as
  173.     possible.  The next flag will
  174.     appear as soon as the last flag
  175.     disappear, so you get more flags
  176.     to shoot at.

  178.   * move your mouse fast.
  179.  
  180.   * if possible, try moving the key
  181.     board out of the way, and move
  182.     mouse toword the center of the
  183.     desk, where it would be more
  184.     comfortable to use.

  186.   * watch what you are about to hit.
  187.  
  188.   * You only got 1 shot at SADDAM,
  189.     so make sure that it is accurate
  190.     and quick.
  191.  
  192.   * try to hit  CLOCK  and  SHOT 
  193.     every time it came on the
  194.     screen, so you can have more
  195.     time and shots.

  198.              ABOUT XLAGIT           
  199.  
  200.  Of course, the first question
  201.  everyone seem to have in mind is
  202.  "What the heck is XLAGIT stand
  203.  for?"  Well, that question will not
  204.  be answer.  Just to make your life
  205.  harder than it is.
  206.  
  207.  XLAGIT uses only text mode; no
  208.  graphics actually uses.  On the CGA
  209.  system, most of the images on the
  210.  screen will blink.  This is NOT
  211.  because the bugs in the program.
  212.  This program is originally designed
  213.  for EGA and better monitor which
  214.  support high intensity background
  215.  colors.

  217.  I wrote this program just because
  218.  Saddam start to really get on my
  219.  nerve system.  I hate him even more
  220.  every time I heard the news about
  221.  him.  Even though the War is over.
